Personal and Professional Background
Leigh has experience in acting for both corporate and government clients in all areas of workplace relations.
Her solid knowledge of the practices and procedures of public sector organisations comes from firsthand experience gained working in house at RailCorp and the RTA.
Her main client is currently the NSW Police Force for whom she manages both disciplinary and “hurt on duty” appeals in the NSW Industrial Relations Commission and in the District Court.
Leigh’s expertise includes providing strategic advice in relation to obligations under Federal and State legislation and industrial awards and agreements and her work includes: drafting employment contracts and policies; performance management; workplace investigations; discrimination complaints; unfair dismissals, and other termination and dismissal disputes.
Leigh is an active member of the McCabe Terrill pro-bono committee and the Workplace Practices subcommittee of the Women Lawyers Association of NSW.
